The vapour pressure of the substance is 0.73 mPa at 20 °C and 1.2 mPa at 25 °C, based on read across of a structurally similar substance with a lower carbon chain distribution.

Additional information

As a worst-case, the vapour pressure is read across from a substance with lower carbon chain distribution within the Primary Fatty Amine Ethoxylated (PFAEO) category. In addition, the substance tested is ethoxylated and the substance registered is propoxylated. This means that the structure of both substances are similar, but the molecular weight for the source substance is lower. Since the vapour pressure increase with decreasing hydrophobicity in a specific homologue, it is a worst case to read across from a substance with lower carbon chain distribution. The vapour pressure of the source substance is 0.73 mPa at 20 °C and 1.2 mPa at 25 °C, the same vapour pressure is assumed for the registered substance.


 


This is supported by the estimated vapour pressure of the substance using the MPBPWIN model, the vapour pressure is 1.84E-08 Pa at 25 °C, calculated from its major constituents.
