Description of key information

Repeated dose toxicity value was obtained by read-across approaching from the source substance Ashes (residues). This material has very similar composition and manner of creation to the test substance and may be supposed very similar properties. For hazard assessment was used the lowest value of NOAEL.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Repeated dose toxicity: via oral route - systemic effects

Endpoint conclusion
Dose descriptor:
NOAEL
500 mg/kg bw/day
Study duration:
subacute
Species:
rat

Additional information

The sub-acute (28 day) toxicity test do not show prolonged toxicity sufficiently conclusive, so that sub-chronic (90 day) toxicity test is planned.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to results of test of Repeated dose (28 days) Toxicity (Oral) the test item do not fulfil classification criteria and does not need to be classified as specific target organ toxicants following repeated exposure.
