Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove the victim from exposure into fresh air immediately.
If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing
is difficult, give oxygen. Seek medical advice if cough or
other symptoms appear. Seek medical advice immediately when
vapors are intensively inhaled.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately wash eyes with plenty of running water for at
least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower
eyelids. Seek medical advice if irritation develops and
persists.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected skin area with plenty of water and soap for at
least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and
shoes. Seek medical advice if irritation develops and
persists.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical advice if the victim feels unwell. Wash out
mouth with plenty of water and give 2-4 cupfuls of water or
milk to drink. Never give anything by mouth to an
unconscious person. Induce vomiting.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, foam, dry chemical, water spray.
Product arising from burning: Toxic fumes of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulphur
oxides and hydrogen fluoride gas.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Use self-contained breathing apparatus and a chemical
protective suit.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including
appropriate respiratory protection to ventilate contaminated
area. Contain spill if possible. Wipe up or absorb on
suitable material and shovel up. Prevent entry into sewers
and waterways. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing.
Handling and storage
Handling: Handle in accordance with good industrial practice, handle
with care and avoid unnecessary personal contact. Avoid
contact with eyes and prolonged or repeated skin contact.
For industrial use only.
Storage: Keep container tightly closed and dry in a cool, dry, well-
ventilated place.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 25 and 200 kgs iron drums with polyethylene lining
