Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water

Description of key information

Pre-test solubility work was performed to check the feasibility of hydrolysis testing, where it

was discovered that the test item is extremely insoluble in aqueous solutions, i.e., the

solubility was determined to be less than 0.01 mg/L in pH 4, 7 and 9 buffer solutions.

Furthermore, EpiSuite v4.11 predicts the water solubility as 9.87 x 10e-6 mg/L (using

WSKOW v1.42) and 5.047 x 10e-4 mg/L (using WaterNT v1.01).

Therefore, as testing to Method 111 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals,

13 April 2004 has to be performed at no greater than 50 % saturation level and detect

accurately from the initial test concentration down to less than 10% remaining, it was

considered that hydrolysis testing on this test item was not feasible.
