Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test substance itself (short name FADMA C10) has not been tested in the acute fish test (OECD 203).

However, OECD 203-results are available for a 50:50 mixture of FADMA C8 and FADMA C10, demonstrating an EC50 = 14.8 mg/l as well as for FADMA C12 showing to be more toxic, exhibiting an EC50 >= 0.88 mg/l. Based on an interpolation between the shorter and the longer chain-length, i.e. by geometric mean of C8-10-FADMA and C12-FADMA data an EC50 = 3.6 mg/l has been deduced for FADMA C10 by read-across approach. This value is used for classification.

Additional information

Three sufficiently reliable GLP-studies investigating the acute toxicity to fish of a mixture of the registered substance and a close homologue with a C8 instead of a C10 chain are available. All three studies exposed the fish for 96h in a static system.

Respective LC50 ranged from 14.8 to 21.1 mg/L. As all studies were of suffiecient reliability, the study with lowest LC 50 (Clariant 93.0432) was assigned as the key study.

Results are read-across to the registered substance.
