Administrative data
First-aid measures
In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
In case of inhalation: Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid.
In case of skin contact: Immediately wash with soap and water for at least 15 minutes. Immediately remove contaminated clothing and shoes. If redness or irritation occurs, seek medical attention.
In case of eyes contact: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Seek medical attention if irritation develops and persists.
In case of ingestion: Clean mouth with water. Get medical attention.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye irritation. May cause respiratory irritation.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: Is skin irritation or rash occurs, get mediacal advice/attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguising media: Use water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, or chemical foam.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use water with a full water jet.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: In case of fire, the following can be released: carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides (NOx).
Advice for fire-fighters: As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand. MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
For non-emergency personnel: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Section 8. Avoid dust formation. Ensure adequate ventilation. Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Avoid breathing dust.
For emergency responders: Wear an appropiate NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator if mist, vapor or dust is generated.
Environmental Precautions: Do not allow material to be released to the environment without proper governmental permits.
Methods for Containment and Cleaning up: Clean up spills immediately, using the appropiate protective equipment. Sweep up, then place into a suitable container for disposal. Avoid generating dusty conditions. Provide ventilation.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Protective measures: Ensure an eye bath and safety shower is available and ready for use. Wash throughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Avoid ingestion and inhalation. Do not breathe dust.
Advice on general occupational hygiene: Do not eat, drink and smoke in work areas. Wash hands after use. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store in cool, well ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed. Product is hygroscopic. Take precautions to avoid contact with atmospheric moisture. Moisture sensitive.
Handle the substance under strictly controlled conditions according to Article 18(4) of REACH Regulation. Rigorous containment should be achieved.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Appropriate engineering controls: Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped with an eyewash facility and a safety shower. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment:
Eye/face protection: Safety glasses. Ensure eye bath is to hand.
Hand protection: Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure.
Body protection: Wear normal working clothing.
Respiratory protection: If ventilation is not available a respirator should be worn. Dust respirator.
Thermal hazards: Wear suitable protective clothing to prevent heat.
Environmental exporsure controls: Avoid discharge into the environment. According to local regulations, Federal and official regulations.
The substance is used under strictly controlled conditions during its whole lifecycle as described under Article 18 (4) and Section 2.1 of the Guidance for Intermediates. The substance should be rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle and procedural and control technologies should be in place in order to minimize emissions and any resulting exposure as described under Article 18(4). Personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used in cases of accidents and where waste is generated. The PPE may be also used as a good practice.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity: The substance is stable under normal storage and handling conditions.
Chemical stability: Stable under normal temperatures and pressures. Moisture sensitive.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: No dangerous reactions known.
Conditions to avoid: Incompatible materials. Dust generation, excess heat, exposure to moist air or water.
Incompatible materials: Water, strong oxidising agents, strong acids.
Hazardous decomposition products: Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides (NOx)
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods: Chemical waste generators must determine whether a discarded chemical is classified as a hazardous waste. Additionally, waste generators must consult state and local hazardous waste regulations to ensure complete and accurate classification.
Product / Packaging disposal: If empty container retains product residues, all label precautions must be observed. Return for reuse of dispose according to national or local regulations.
