Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

INHALATION: Remove person to fresh air immediately. Use a bag valve mask or similar device to perform artificial

respiration (rescue breathing) if needed. Get immediate medical attention.

SKIN CONTACT: Immediately wash with soap and plenty of water while relnoving contaminated clothing. Get

medical immediate attention.

INGESTION: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious or convulsing person. If victim is conscious and alert,

give plenty of water to drink. Do NOT induce vomiting. Get immediate medical attention.

EYE CONTACT: Get immediate medical attention. Immediately flush with plenty of water. Remove any contact lenses

and continue flushing eyes with large amounts of water, occasionally lifting upper and lower lids, until no evidence of

chemical remains at least 15 - 20 minutes.

Fire-fighting measures

EXTINGUISHING : Water spray, foam, dry powder, C02.

UNSUITABLE EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: High volume water jet as this may spread fire.

SPECIAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPhv4ENT AND PRECAUTIONS FOR FIRE FIGHTERS: Firefighters should wear self-

contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing. Avoid inhalation of material or combustion by-products. Use

water spray to keep fully closed container cool.

SPECIFIC HAZARDS ARISING FROM THE CHEMICAL: Thermal decomposition may produce oxides of carbon and

nitrogen.

Accidental release measures

PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS PROTECTIVE EQUIPNIENT AND Etv1ERGENCY PROCEDURES: Clean up personnel

should wear appropriate protective clothing, boots, gloves and self contained breathing apparatus. Do not breathe dusts or

mists. Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray.

ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS: Do not let spilled material enter floor drains, sewers or water sources or the

environment.

METHODS AND MATERIALS FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP: Ensure proper ventilation. Keep

unnecessary and unprotected people away from area of spill. Collect spill (avoid generation and deposition of dust) and

place in appropriate containers for disposal. Clean contaminated surface thoroughly.

Handling and storage

PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING: Use necessary PPE's to prevent exposure by any route. Avoid contact with

eyes, skin and clothing. Do not breathe dust, vapor, mist, or gas. Keep separated from incompatible substances. Avoid

deposition and generation of dust. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. Handle in accordance with good

industrial hygiene and safety practice.

CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE INCLUDING ANY INCOMPATIBILITIES: store in a cool, dry, well ventilated

place away from all and incompatible substances. Keep material in original container. Keep container tightly sealed when

not is use. Observe the usual precautionary measures required for chemicals with dust explosive properties.

Exposure controls / personal protection

EXPOSURE LIMITS: In accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practices. OSHA PEL Nuisance dust, Total

dusts 15 mg/m3: ACGIH T L V: Particles not otherwise classified 10 mg/m3:.

VENTILATION: Provide mechanical exhaust ventilation system. Ventilation system should be explosion proof.

EYE PROTECTION: Tight fitting chemical safety goggles. If exposure causes eye discomfort, use a full face respirator.

RESPIRATION: OSHA respirator regulations found in 29 CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Use a

NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator if exposure limits are exceeded or if irritation or other

symptoms are experienced.

CLOTHING: Appropriate protective clothing, boots, gloves, lab coat, apron or coveralls to prevent any contact.

NOTE: Eyewash fountain and quick drench shower should be available in the immediate work area. Employees should

shower at the end of the shift.

Stability and reactivity

REACTIVITY: Not expected.

CHEMICAL STABILITY: Stable under proper conditions of storage and use.

POSSIBILITY OF HAZARDOUS REACTIONS: In the case of dusty organic products the possibility of dust explosion

should always be considered.

HAZARDOUS DECOVIPOSITION PRODUCTS: Thermal decomposition may produce oxides of carbon, nitrogen and

hydrogen chloride.

INCOMPATIBLE MATERIALS: None known.

CONDITIONS TO AVOID: Avoid generation of dust and extreme temperatures.

Disposal considerations

DISPOSAL: Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/regional/national/international regulations.

UNCLEANED PACKAGING: Soiled empty containers are to be treated in the same way as the contents.
