Administrative data
First-aid measures
Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product.
Symptoms of poisoning may even occur after several hours; therefore medical observation for at least 48 hours after the accident.
· After inhalation: Supply fresh air. If required provide artificial respiration. Keep patient warm.
Consult doctor if symptoms persist.
In case of unconsciousness place patient into the recovery position for transport.
· After skin contact:
Wash immediately with plenty of water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
Seek medical treatment.
· After eye contact:
Rinse opended eyes thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and apply a sterile protective bandage.
Get medical attention.
· After swallowing: Rinse mouth and drink plenty of water.
Do not induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
· Unsuitable extinguishing agents for reasons of safety: water.
· Special hazards caused by the material, its products of combustion or flue gases:
In case of fire, toxic incineration products can be released:
Carbon monoxide (CO)
Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Sulphur dioxide (SO2)
· Protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
· Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
Wear personal protective equipment.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Evacuate personnel to safe areas.
· Measures for environmental protection:
Prevent from spreading (e. g. by enclosing with a ring of chemical absorbent).
Do not allow substance to reach sewage system or water courses.
Inform authorities in case of contamination of water or sewage system.
· Measures for cleaning/collecting:
Soak up with inert adsorbent (sand, diatomite, acidic binders, universal binders, sawdust).
Dispose of contaminated material as waste according to local regulations pertaining to the disposal of hazardous waste.
Clean the accident area carefully; suitable cleaners are: organic solvent
Provide adequate ventilation. Use respiratory protection in case of insufficient ventilation.
Handling and storage
· Handling:
· Precautions for safe handling:
It is preferable to handle the product in a closed system.
Ensure good exhaust ventilation at the workplace.
· Information about protection against explosion and fire:
Protect against electrostatic charges.
· Storage:
· Requirements to be met by storerooms and containers:
Keep containers tightly sealed in a dry and well-ventilated place.
· Information about storage in a common storage facility:
Store away from oxidising agents.
· Further information about storage conditions:
Store container in a well ventilated position.
Protect from heat and hot surfaces.
