First-aid measures
4.1 Description of first aid measurements:
• General notes:
Remove contaminated clothing immediately and store/ dispose of safely.
Clean before reuse.
• Following inhalation:
Ensure supply of fresh air. Summon a doctor immediately.
• Following skin contact:
Wash immediately with plenty of soap and water.
Take off contaminated clothing, even underwear and shoes.
In case of persistent skin irritation get medical advice.
• Following eye contact:
Rinse opened eye several minutes with fluent water.
Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do.
Continue rinsing. In case of persistent complaints get medical advice.
• Following swallowing:
Cause no vomit, rinse the mouth and drink plenty of water;
get medical attention immediately.
• Self- protection of the first aider:
Wear disposable gloves.
4.2 Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms: No information is on file to date regarding
acute and/ or delayed post- exposure symptoms and effects.
4.3 Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
5.1 Extinguishing media:
Water spray jet, alcohol resistant foam, ABC- powder or carbon dioxide.
Unsuitable extinguishing media:
Water full jet.
5.2 Special hazards arising from mixture:
Hazardous combustion products: Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2),
Hydrofluoric acid, Antimony oxides.
5.3 Advice for firefighters:
Do not inhale explosion and/ or combustion gases.
Use self containing breathing apparatus and protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
6.1 Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Use personal protection equipment. Provide for sufficient ventilation.
6.2 Environment precautions:
Do not allow to enter drains or waterways. Do not discharge into the subsoil/ soil.
6.3 Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Pick up mechanically. Dispose of material in accordance with the national regulations.
6.4 Reference to other sections:
For further information on exposure monitoring and disposal see section 8 and 13.
Handling and storage
7.1 Precautions for safe handling
• Protective measures:
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Provide suitable exhaust ventilation at the processing machines.
Should be used in appropriate rooms and equipment only.
• Measures to prevent fire:
For refilling operations ground containers. Avoid sparking.
• Measures to protect the environment:
Open and handle container with care.
• Hygiene measures:
Do not eat, drink and smoke when working.
Wash hands before break and after work.
7.2 Condition for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
• Technical measures and storage conditions:
Store only in well closed original container,
in a cool, well- ventilated place below 250C.
• Packaging materials:
Light impermeable plastic bag or container
• Requirements for storage rooms and vessels:
No special requirements
• German storage class (VCI): 13
7.3 Specific end use(s): No further recommendations.
