First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures
General advice : When symptoms persist or in all cases of doubt seek medical advice.
Inhalation : Move to fresh air, keep airway open. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Call a physician immediately.
Skin contact : Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water while removing all contaminated clothes and shoes. If skin irritation persists, call a physician.
Eye contact : Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician immediately.
Ingestion : Prohibition of induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water. Call a physician immediately.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms of exposure may include burning sensation, coughing, wheezing, laryngitis, shortness of breath, headache, nausea, and vomiting.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
No data available
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Water spray, Alcohol-resistant foam, Dry chemical, Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Carbon oxides
Advice for firefighters
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
Further information
Use water spray to cool unopened containers.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Use personal protective equipment. Avoid breathe vapors, mist or gas. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Remove all sources of ignition. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak.
Beware of vapors accumulating to form explosive concentrations. Vapors can accumulate in low areas.
Environmental precautions
Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not let product enter drains. Discharge into the environment must be avoided.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
Contain spillage, and then collect with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing and place in container for disposal according to local regulations.
Reference to other sections
For disposal see section 13
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms. Wear personal protective equipment. Ensure all equipment is electrically grounded before beginning transfer operations. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Keep away from heat/sparks/open fames/hot surfaces - No smoking.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Store in cool place. Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.
Over time, pressure may increase causing containers to burst. Handle and open container with care.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Control parameters
Components with workplace control parameters: Contains no substances with occupational exposure limit values
Exposure controls
Appropriate engineering controls : Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
Personal protective equipment :
Respiratory protection : In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment.
Eye protection : Safety glasses with side-shields
Body protection : Wear antistatic protective clothing, Safety shoes
Hand protection : Wear anti benzene oil protective gloves.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity
No data available
Chemical stability
Under normal conditions of use and storage is very stable.
Possibility of hazardous reactions
Hazardous polymerization does not occur.
Conditions to avoid
Heat, flames and sparks. Extremes of temperature and direct sunlight.
Incompatible materials
Strong oxidizing agents. Incompatible with acids. Halogenated compounds
Hazardous decomposition products
Carbon oxides.
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods
Product : In accordance with local and national regulations. Do not contaminate ponds, waterways or ditches with chemical or used container. The product should not be allowed to enter drains, water courses or the soil.
Contaminated packaging : Do not burn, or use a cutting torch on, the empty drum.
