- PRELIMINARY TEST
- The test material was a liquid. The preliminary test indicated that the test material was soluble at a level of < 1 g/L.
DEFINITIVE TEST
- Samples were taken from the three flasks at two time points: Day 7 and Day 8. Table 1 summarises the analytical measurements from the experiment.
- The between day difference between Day 7 and 8 was less than 15%. No other sampling was required. The amount of test material dissolved in water was 0.67 mg/L. The test temperature ranged from 19.6 to 20.4°C (20.0 ± 0.4°C).
- The test material had a water solubility, corrected for purity, of 0.67 mg/L (0.00067 g/L) at 20°C as determined by OECD Test No. 105.
OBSERVATIONS
- No chemical instability was observed during the test. In the preliminary test, the test material in water is a clear solution with excess test material remaining in brown globules adhering to the glass. With vigorous shaking it does disperse and exhibit some surfactant characteristics, but a significant residue of smaller brown globules remain. - Conclusions:
- Under the conditions of this study, the test material had a water solubility, corrected for purity, of 0.67 mg/L (0.00067 g/L) at 20°C.
