The substance hydrolyses quickly in water with a hydrolysis half-life of 0.1 h. As the test solution was stirred 24 h hours before application, the test was assumedly rather performed with the hydrolysis products than with base product. Analytical monitoring was performed by TOC determination which does not distinguish between the starting and hydrolysis products.

6.1.1 Acute toxicity to fish: No toxic effects against Danio rerio were observed at >= 93.2 mg/L after 96 hours. The result is expressed in terms of mean measured concentrations. The measured concentration corresponds to 88.2 % of nominal value at 96 hours (Bruns, 2002).

6.1.3 Acute toxicity to daphnia: After 48 hrs an EC-0 of >= 92.4 mg/L was measured. The result is expressed in terms of nominal concentrations (Bruns, 2002).
