As there were no significant thermal events, it was determined that no changes in the physical state of the test material occurred over the range of 25 to 450 °C.
During both determinations, an endotherm was displayed by both Thermograms. These are tabulated in table 3 (see below).

Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The melting temperature of manganese sulphate was determined to be > 723 ± 0.5 K. The endotherms observed in both thermograms were attributable to the loss of water from the monohydrate. The final mpt will be for the anhydrous substance, as registered.
