Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In an Bacterial growth inhibition test using Pseudomonas putida the following effect concentrations were determined:
EC10 (16 h) = 347 mg/L (nominal concentration)
EC50 (16 h) = 709 mg/L (nominal concentration)
EC90 (16 h) = 1120 mg/L (nominal concentration)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for microorganisms:
709 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for microorganisms:
347 mg/L

Additional information

The inhibitory effect of the test substance on the ceII multiplication of the bacterium Pseudomonas putida was investigated in a 16-hour static Bacterial growth inhibition test according to DIN EN Isa 10712 (February 1996). The test substance was tested in the concentration range between 39.1 and 10000 mg/L (nominal). The dilution factor was 2. The following results show the nominal concentrations of the test sample that causes an inhibition of bacterial cell multiplication after 16 h compared to the untreated control: EC10 (16 h) = 347 mg/L, EC50 (16 h) = 709 mg/L, EC90 (16 h) = 1120 mg/L. The validity criteria were fulfilled by the test.
