Procedure

For DSC measurement the liquid test substance is cooled with liquid nitrogen. The measurement is carried out in an atmosphere of nitrogen (30 ml/min). During the cooling step the measurement starts at 0 °C (approx. 273 K), cooling took place at a rate of 5 K/min down to -70°C (approx. 203 K) followed by heating from -70°C (approx. 203 K) up to 0°C (approx. 273 K).

Melting/Freezing temperature

1

< -70°C

2

< -70°C

Mean value

< -70°C, < 203 K

The DSC diagrams show no melting / freezing temperature.

Conclusions:
A melting point value of <-70 °C at 1013 hPa was determined in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol. It was not compliant with GLP.
