Conclusion on classification

Dangerous Substance Directive (67/548/EEC)

The available studies are considered reliable and suitable for classification purposes under 67/548/EEC. Based on poor water solubility, the absence of toxic effects in the range of the solubility, the BCF (> 100) and the lack of degradability the substance is to be classified as 'R53 May cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment' under Directive 67/548/EEC, as amended for the 28th time in Directive 2001/59/EC.

 

Classification, Labeling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008

The available experimental test data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation 1272/2008. Based on the poor water solubility, the absence of toxic effects in the range of solubility, the BCF (> 500) and the lack of degradability the substance is classified as 'May cause long lasting harmful effects to aquatic life' under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, 2. ATP.
