In accordance with column 2 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 Annex VIII and IX additional biotic degradation tests shall be proposed if the result of the Chemical Safety Assessment indicates the need to investigate further the degradation of 1,2,3-propanetriyl triisooctadecanoate (CAS 26942-95-0). The substance is not readily biodegradable in water and thus may persist in the environment. However the substance is not expected to cause any environmental risks due to the lack of acute or chronic toxicity and the low bioaccumulation potential. Therefore further degradation studies are not proposed.
