Administrative data
First-aid measures
Consult a doctor if irritation develop or persist.
After inhalation: Remove to fresh air and monitor breathing. If breathing becoming difficult,
give oxygen and consult a physician. If breathing stops, give artificial
respiration and consult a physician.
After skin contact: Wash immediately effected skin area thoroughly with copious amount of
water and soap.
After eye contact: Flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
Assure adequate flushing by separating the eyelids with fingers. Consult a specialist for medical surveillance.
After swallowing: Wash out the mouth with clear water if the patient is conscious and drink
plenty of water. Consult with a physician.
Fire-fighting measures
Unsuitable extinguishing media: None.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: CO, CO2, NOx
Advice for firefighters: Wear selfcontained breathing apparatus and protective clothing for firefighting.
Accidental release measures
Wear protective equipment: tightly fitting safety goggles, chemical resistant gloves, dust mask (FFP3) or gas mask with white, P3 filter cartridge.
Wear full protective clothing in order to avoid skin contact. Disposable 5,6 type overalls recommended (liquid splash and dust protection)
Environmental precautions: Avoid release to soil, sewers, living waters.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Collect the product carefully in dry form, avoid dust formation. Keep theproduct in a labelled, closed container until disposal.
Wash the contaminated area with water. Wear appropriate protective clothes and protective equipment.
Handling and storage
Avoid contact with skin, eyes, clothes. Wear protective equipment: tightly fitting safety goggles, chemical resistant gloves, dust mask (FFP3) or gas mask with white, P3 filter cartridge . Wear full protective clothing in order to avoid skin contact. Disposable 5,6 type overalls recommended (liquid splash and dust protection)
Safety measures: Avoid contact with the powder. Avoid to contact with eyes. Local and general ventilation required.
Fire and explosion protection measures: Take measures against electrostatic discharges.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Keep in well closed storage containers, in a cool and well ventilated place.
Keep dry.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Wear protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Ensure adequate general and local ventilation.
Handle under extracting hood in the laboratories. Do not breathe dust.
In case of possible exposure respiratory protection is needed. (Gas mask with P3 filter).
Closed technology recommended to avoid exposure to material. For precaution of exposure use combined personal protective equipments
(respiratory protection hood with face shield, protective clothes, protective gloves).
Industrial hygiene: Wash hands and face with plentiful water after working with the substance. Remove contaminated clothing. Wash before reuse.
It is forbidden to eat, drink, store food and smoke at the workplace.
Safety eyewash and emergency shower needed.
Measures applied by the registrant during use of the intermediate:
- The reaction carried out in a fully contained system, using fixed installations (pipes, vessels) and powder transport system (PTS) with glove box for solid substance handling. The system ensure the rigorous containment at all process step (i.e. loading the reactor, chemical transformation, filtering by centrifuge)
-PPE use only in case of accidents, incidents, maintenance and cleaning activities. PPE specified in the permit-to-work system.
- The reaction vessel, the centrifuge and the other vessels are connected via fix pipes.
- All pumps, valves are fully sealed
- Parameters (temperature and pressure) and processes are 24/7 controlled by qualified operators
-The maintenance is part of a documented permit-to-work system requiring 1. cleaning procedure before the maintenance 2. supervisor authorization 3. constant supervision
- Personnel are trained and fully supervised
- Personnel are trained what to do in case of accidents and incidents (including the use of PPE) to minimize risk to human and the environment resulting from unexpected release of the substance. PPE include respirator, gloves, body protection. The training is documented.
- Workers use eye protection during all operations (as a precautionary measure)
Warning! The toxicological profile of substance is not completely defined!
Stability and reactivity
Organic substance. Can be reactive with strong oxidisers.
Disposal considerations
