Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. If patient feels unwell, seek
medical advice.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with plenty of water. If irritation occurs, seek
medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Symptomatic treatment. If patient feels unwell, seek medical
advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Recommended extinguishing agents: Water, foam, dry powder
and carbon dioxide.
Product arising from burning: Products arising from pyrolysis: Products of combustion may
include carbon, nitrogen and sulfur oxides together with
lithium salts and soot.
Protective equipment: Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus
should be used.
Accidental release measures
Handling and storage
Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic
chemicals. Avoid skin and eye contact, wear suitable
goggles, impermeable gloves and protective clothing. If the
substance is handled as a powder, avoid dust formation and
wear a dust mask. A dust-proof filling apparatus or
appropriate exhaust system should then be used.
Storage: No special precautions. The substance should be stored in
tightly closed, unbreakable containers in adequate rooms.
Avoid spillage.

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Other dangers: None reported.
Chemical reaction with water: Chemical reaction with water: None reported.
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for re-use is not possible (forms irreversible
bonds on application to textiles).
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Discharge at a licensed landfill site is possible.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. An approved facility equipped with waste
gas treatment to remove oxides of nitrogen and sulfur should
be used.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is discharged into internal industrial
effluent streams as a highly diluted solution.
Prepurification of this effluent occurs before discharge to
other water treatment systems.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will only enter the public domain as a small
component of consumer articles.
