First-aid measures

GENERAL INFORMATION

In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately.

AFTER INHALATION

Supply fresh air. Consult doctor in case of complaints

AFTER SKIN CONTACT

Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.

AFTER EYE CONTACT

Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Then consult a doctor.

AFTER SWALLOWING

Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water. Call a doctor immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA

Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: In case of fire, hydrogen chloride (HCl), nitrogen oxides (NOx), chlorine and ammonia can be released.

ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS

Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device and fully protective suit.

Additional information: Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.

Accidental release measures

PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS, PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals.

ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS

Do not allow to enter sewers/surface or groundwater Do not allow to penetrate the ground/soil.

METHODS AND MATERIAL FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP

Pick up mechanically. Send for recovery or disposal in suitable receptacles.

Handling and storage

PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING

The usual precautionary measured are to be adhered to when handling chemicals. Use personal protective equipment.

INFORMATION ABOUT FIRE AND EXPLOSION PROTECTION:

The product is not combustible.

CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE, INCLUDING ANY INCOMPATIBILITIES

Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed receptacles

Information about storage in one common storage facility: Store away from reducing agents

Further information about storage conditions: None

GENERAL PROTECTIVE AND HYGIENIC MEASURES

- The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals

- Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working

- Do not inhale dusts/smoke/mist

- Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing

- Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work

- Respiratory protection: Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol. Filter P3

- Protection of hands: Protective gloves.

- The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/the substance/the preparation. Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product/the preparation/the chemical mixture.

- Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.

- Material of gloves: The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.

- Penetration time of glove material: The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.

- For the permanent contact of a maximum of 15 minutes gloves made of Fluorocarbon rubber (Viton) are suitable

- Eye protection: Tightly sealed goggles

- Body protection: Protective work clothing

Stability and reactivity

- Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: To avoid thermal decomposition do not overheat

- Possibility of hazardous reactions: No dangerous reactions known

- Conditions to avoid: No further relevant information available

- Incompatible materials: No further relevant information available

- Hazardous decomposition products: Chlorine, hydrogen chloride (HCl) and Ammonia.

Disposal considerations

WASTE TREATMENT METHODS

Contact manufacturer for recycling information. Disposal must be made according to official regulations.

UNCLEANED PACKAGING

Disposal must be made according to official regulations. Uncleaned or with product residues contaminated packaging should be treated like the product itself. Packages, which do not contain product residues, should be recycled; if there does not exist a collecting system, packages can be treated as rubbish.
