Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice : Pay attention to self protection and imediately call for a doctor. Move out of dangerous area. Take off all contaminated clothing
immediately.
Inhalation : Remove to fresh air. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, oxygen may be given
by qualified personnel. Obtain medical attention.
Skin contact : Immediately remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash off with soap and water. Obtain medical attention. Wash clothing before re-use. Discard contaminated leather articles such as shoes and belt.
Eye contact : Immediately flush eyes with water and continue washing for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention without delay, preferably from an ophthalmologist.
Ingestion : If patient is fully conscious, give two glasses of milk or water at once. Do NOT induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Dry powder, Alcohol-resistant foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Extinguishing media which shall not be used for safety reasons: Water - reacts violently with water.
Specific hazards during fire fighting: In case of fire, formation of hydrochloric acid, highly dispersed silicic acid.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions : Use personal protective equipment.
Methods for cleaning up : Take up with an absorbent for chemicals or, otherwise use dry sand.
Handling and storage
Handling
Advice on safe handling: Only open container under local extraction. Handle and open container with care. Take measures to prevent the build up of
electrostatic charge. Explosion protection necessary.
Storage
Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep container closed when not in use. Keep away from heat and flame.

Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid :
Avoid contact with: Water, Aqueous acids and alkalies, Ketones, Aldehydes, Alcohols, Organic acids, Peroxides, Amines, Strong oxidizing agents
Materials to avoid :
Reacts violently and exothermically with water to form: Hydrogen chloride
Reacts rapidly if combined with: Aqueous acids, Aqueous bases, Ketones, Aldehydes, Alcohols, Organic acids, Peroxides, Amines, Oxidizing agents
Hazardous reactions : Hazardous polymerisation does not occur.
Further information :
Apply the following regulations and datasheets of the German BG Chemie. M 004 "Irritating substances - corrosive substances". M 053 "General industrial protective measures for handling dangerous substances".
Hazardous decomposition products:
Burning can produce the following combustion products: Carbon oxides nitrogen oxides (NOx) Oxides of silicon, Hydrogen chloride, Hydrogen cyanide (hydrocyanic acid), Chlorine, Carbon monoxide (highly toxic if inhaled), carbon dioxide (in sufficient concentrations can act as an asphyxiant). Acute overexposure to the products of combustion may result in irritation of the respiratory tract.
Disposal considerations
Product :
According to local regulations, can be taken to an appropriate incinerator equipped with exhaust gas cleaning.
Contaminated packaging :
Dispose of as unused product.
