- The test item is water-soluble to some extend. Different results for the water solubility were found depending on the amount of test item applied. At sample sizes of c 100 mg/l (97.16 to 139.08 mg/l) water soluble fractions of c. 24% (22 to 27%) were found, at sample sizes of c. 1000 mg/L (1104.50 to 1150.00 mg/l) the water soluble fractions were found to be each c. 5%.
- Conclusions:

- Executive summary:
This is a GLP Compliant, guideline study considered adequate for assessment. The results would indicate that following equilibrium the test substance is more soluble. This is not usually the case. Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Water solubility:
- 100 mg/L
- at the temperature of:
- 20 °C
Additional information
The water solubility values for streams in this category have been taken from proprietary data, study reports and certificates of analysis.
CAS# 68477-54-3: 108 mg/L at 20°C (Sabic, 1989a); CAS# 101316-62-5: 130 mg/L (Rutgers, 2010b); and CAS# 94733-07-0: Water-soluble to some extent (BASF, 2007a). For 94733-07-0, different results for the water solubility were found depending on the amount of test item applied. At sample sizes of ca. 100 mg/L (97.16 to 139.08 mg/L), water soluble fractions of ca. 24% (22 to 27%) were found, while at sample sizes of ca. 1000 mg/L (1104.50 to 1150.00 mg/L), the water soluble fractions were found to be each ca. 5%. This study appears to indicate that following equilibrium the test substance is more soluble.
These data will be read across to all category members.
The mean water solubility value is 100 mg/L at 20°C and this has been used to complete the ‘key value for chemical safety assessment’.
