Two studies are available, reporting the effects of the test material to on the survival and reproduction on aquatic invertebrates were investigated in Daphnia magna in accordance with standardised guidelines OECD 211 and EPA OPPTS 850.1300. During the studies, Daphnia were exposed to the test material at nominal loading rates of 0, 10, 32 and 100 mg/L, as WAF, under semi-static test conditions. Results of analyses to measure concentrations of test material in water samples collected during the test confirmed levels below the Limit of Quantitation (1.00 µg/L), however, there was no evidence of precipitation observed in any of the test solutions. Under the conditions of the studies there were no statistically significant treatment-related effects on survival, reproduction or growth at concentrations of tests material up to 100 mg/L, the highest nominal WAF loading rate. Consequently, the No Observed Effect Level was determined to be 100 mg/L and the Lowest Observed Effect Level was greater than 100 mg/L. The 21 day EL₅₀ value for adult immobility and reproduction were both determined to be in excess of 100 mg/L, the highest nominal WAF loading rate tested.

Both studies were performed in line with GLP and accepted standardised guidelines with a high standard of reporting and were assigned a reliability score of 1 and considered suitable for assessment as an accurate reflection of the test substance.

The available data are considered to be complete and the result determined, 21 d NOEC value of 100 mg/L, was taken forward for risk assessment.
