Additional information

The preliminary screening test was performed for the determination of the flammability of the test substance. No propagation of combustion of the test substance along 200 mm length of the pile within 4 minutes was observed. According to the guideline, performance of the main study for the determination of the burning rate of the test substance was not required. Based on the results obtained the test substance is considered ‘not highly flammable’.

In addition, Silicic acid (H2Si2O5), barium salt (1:1), lead-doped is considered ‘not highly flammable’ in contact with water.

Furthermore, Silicic acid (H2Si2O5), barium salt (1:1), lead-doped has no pyrophoric properties.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the data available, silicic acid, barium salt, lead-doped does not need to be classified for flammability according to Directive 67/548/EC or the CLP Regulation.
