Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Test solutions

Details on test solutions:
PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION (especially for difficult test substances)
- Method: The test substance was added in the required amount to the test vessel with about 180 ml deionized water. The mixture was stirred for about 22 ± 2 hours to obtain an optimal solution. Then synthetic medium (8 ml of a 100-fold stock) was added, the pH-value was adjusted to 7.5 ± 0,5, the inoculum was added and the test started.

Test organisms

Test organisms (species):
activated sludge of a predominantly domestic sewage
Details on inoculum:
- Laboratory culture: The activated sludge inoculum used in this study originated from laboratory wastewater treatment plants fed with municipal sewage. The inoculum was washed, brought to a concentration of 5 g/l dry substance and aerated for 24 hours. 50 ml were added to a total volume of 250 ml to obtain a concentration of 1 g/l dry substance in the test.
- Initial biomass concentration: 1000 mg/L
