Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek

Fire-fighting measures
Product arising from burning: The substance is combustible and will burn if involved in a
fire, evolving noxious fumes (eg carbon, sulphur and
nitrogen oxides).

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.
Fight the fire from a safe distance or protected location.
Accidental release measures
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment conforming to
the relevant national or international standards, as
mentioned in section 2.3.10.
Absorb spillages of solutions with a suitable inert material
(eg. sand or soil). Carefully transfer the spillage to waste
containers, or use a sealed industrial vacuum machine.
Containers filled with waste material must be labelled in
the same way as the original substance containers.
Clean the spillage area with water and detergent.
Dispose of waste material in accordance with local
regulations by incineration.
Handling and storage
conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with
any local regulations in order to avoid exposure with
skin,eyes and clothing.
Protective rubber gloves (14 inch PVC gauntlets BS EN374.1),
paper suits and safety goggles (BS2092.2.I.C grade 2 impact
resistant and chemical splash resistant) should be worn.
Where dust generation cannot be avoided, provide and use
local exhaust ventilation. Where local exhaust ventilation
is impracticable, wear an approved air-fed visor (TM
14/7.25) or air suit (prEN 943 or TM 14/7.27).
Storage: Store at ambient temperatures in a cool, dry and well
ventilated area.
The substance is stored in the original container and kept
tightly closed when not in use.

Chemical reaction with water: None which is hazardous is expected
Dust explosion: There is a potential dust explosion hazard from the organic
powder but this is not considered to be a problem in normal
use.

Disposal considerations
minor spillages or accidental discharge is not economically
or technically feasible, and such waste material will be
disposed of by incineration.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No need for neutralization
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with
inert material (eg. sand or soil) are to be disposed of by
incineration only.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance should be disposed of by incineration by
burning under controlled conditions at a licensed waste
treatment processor in accordance with local regulations.
Suitable abatement measures for oxides of nitrogen and
sulphur containing gases should be set in place for
incinerator waste gases.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance should not normally be discharged directly to
the sewage system or the aqueous environment. Pre-treatment
prior to discharge to sewage works is not considered to be a
suitable method for destruction of the material.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable, the substance will not enter the public
domain.
