Description of key information

Short term toxicity values were determined for aquatic invertebrates and aquatic algea.

The lowest EC50 value was determined for algea. The relevant value for classification according to CLP is based on the growth rate and was found to be 50.69 mg/L.

Thus the test substance is not classified as acute toxic towards the aquatic environment.

A long term toxicity value was determined for aquatic algea.

The NOEC value was found to be 10 mg/L.

The long term toxicity towards aquatic invertebrates is determined by the short term value (EC50 > 100 mg/L) and the biodegradability (readily biodegradable).

Thus the test substance is not classified as chronic toxic towards the aquatic environment.
