Specific details on test material used for the study:
The actual substance being registered is a complex UVCB substance with a large number of components including liquids such as glycol and water, which cannot be removed successfully to reveal a solid UVCB material. This is the material that has been tested.
Name -Alanine, N-coco alkyl derivs.
Batch no. LAB PREPARATION
Appearance Yellow Liquid
CAS No. 84812-94-2
Molecular formula H25C12NHCH2CH2COOH
Production date 01. Dec. 2017
Expiry date 01. Dec. 2022
Storage Room Temperature (20 ± 5 °C)
Key result
Remarks on result:
no flash point according to standard method

Pre-Test for Safety

A small amount of the test substance was heated in a test tube with a Bunsen burner up to the temperature of 159 °C. After cooling down, the test substance was inspected to see whether polymerization had occurred or any other effect which would have been able to destroy the measuring instrument, like explosion or foaming. None was observed.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
In the pre-test for safety boiling was observed 146 °C. In the pre-test for the flash point the test was stopped because of boiling of the test substance.
No flash point could be detected for the test substance β-Alanine, N-coco alkyl derivs up to a temperature of 126.5 °C.
Therefore, no flash point could be stated.
