Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The vapour pressure of 4-Amino-m-cresol at 20°C and 25°C is < 2.5 mPa  (<2.5 x 10 (-3) Pa).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The vapour pressure of 4-Amino-m-cresol was determined by following the OECD 104 (gas saturation method) guideline).

Two tests were performed at 32°C (305 K) and at 40°C (313 K) at 20 mL/min of flow rate. 10 g of test substance was deposited onto an inert support (quartz sand), and the mixed material was deposited into the saturation column. The transported test material was trapped and the trapped amount was collected and analysed by GC/FID.

The vapour pressure of the test material was:

<2.5 mPa = <2.5 x 10 (-3)Pa at 32 ˚C

<3.3 mPa = <3.3 x 10 (-3) Pa at 40˚C

Therefore, the vapour pressure (P) at 20 and 25 ˚C is <2.5 mPa (<2.5 x 10 (-3) Pa).
