Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Adsorption Koc values for the substance ranging from 96 to 927, and desorption Koc values ranging from 307 to 990 have been measured using the batch equilibrium method. According to the classification of chemical mobility in soil described by Swann et al. (1993), Koc values in the range 150-500 constitute the Medium mobility class, and those in the range 500-2000 the Low mobility class.

There are four studies providing Other distribution data presented in the dossier, all utilising 14C-labelled ametryn. Three soil leaching studies all showed no significant leaching through soil columns, whether or not the ametryn had been aged in the soil, and one volatilisation from soil study found no airborne radioactivity.

On this basis, the substance is expected not to volatilise from soil, and to demonstrate low to medium mobility in soil.

Information on Henry’s Law constant and distribution modelling are not required under REACH.
