Description of key information

Log(Kow) for HFP kinetic dimer was determined to be 4.1 (RSD=1.5%) at 22.1°C.

The n-Octanol/Water Partition Coefficient (log Kow) of HFP kinetic dimer was determined according to U.S EPA guidance document OPPTS 830.7550. Duplicate samples of HFP kinetic dimer were prepared in each of the three octanol/water ratios (1:1, 1:2, and 2:1) at 22.1 °C. For each test vial, duplicate aliquot of water and n-octanol phase were analyzed using Purge and Trap and Gas Chromatography/ Mass spectrometry. The average log Kow was 4.1, with RSD% of 1.5%. This is a guideline study conducted under GLP criteria. Therefore, it is considered reliable without restrictions and a key study.
