Classification justification according to CLP

Based on the data above, reaction mass of potassium sodium (2R,3R)-2-hydroxy-3-(phosphonatooxy) butanedioate and potassium sodium (2S,3S)-2-hydroxy-3-(phosphonatooxy) butanedioate is not readily biodegradable. Based on QSAR calculations, no bioaccumulation into organisms is expected by the reaction mass. Concerning the acute aquatic toxicity, the most sensitive species was Daphnia magna with an EC50 of 66 mg/L. Valid chronic toxicity data are available only for algae. The NOEC for the algae Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata is 50 mg/L. Based on these data, the respective reaction mass is classified as hazardous to the environment in the category Chronic 3 according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) and Regulation (EU) No 286/2011 (6th ATP).
