Additional information

Skin irritation/corrosion.

A reliable study was designed according to OECD TG 404. Under the conditions of this study, the test item was not irritating when applied to the intact rabbit skin.

Eye irritation/corrosion

A reliable study was designed according to OECD TG 405. The most severe irritation effect was conjunctival redness. One out of three animals had an average score of 2 over 24 h, 48 h and 72 h, while the two other animals had a conjunctival score of 1.67 over the three time points. Maximum individual conjunctival score at one single time point was 2. All other irritation effects were less severe. All irritation effects were fully reversible at 14 days at latest. The test article therefore should be considered not irritating to the rabbit eye.

Justification for classification or non-classification

- skin irritation/corrosion:

based on the above stated assessment, the results from reliable study show that the substance is not irritating to the skin. Therefore, the substance does not need to be classified according to the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008).

- eye irritation/corrosion:

based on the above stated assessment, the results from a reliable study show that the substance is not irritating to the eye. Therefore, the substance does not need to be classified according to the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008).
