CAS number: 80-62-6
After emission or evaporation to air the product is exspected to be
rapidly degraded by photochemical processes. In contrast, abiotic
degradation by hydrolysis is not of major concern, because the test
substance will hydrolyze slowly at pH 7 and 11. No hydrolysis was
observed at pH 3. However, since methyl methacrylate is readily
biodegradable, hydrolysis is not the predominant degradation route.
