Description of key information

According to column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 "The study does not need to be conducted: ... for solids which ... decompose before boiling ...". L-aspartic acid decomposes at ca. 235 to ca. 324 °C before boiling, depending on the source.
The boiling point of the substance was estimated with the MPBPVP tool within the Epi Suite v4.1 programme and was calculated to 348 °C.
