Concerning aquatic toxicity, the suggested analog, i.e. Simvastatin ammonium was considered sufficient similar in relation to aquatic toxicity the target chemical Compactin to apply the read-across approach. Their similarity was evaluated in terms of structural, mechanistic and reactivity similarity. The analysis performed showed that the target chemical Compactin has a sufficient structural, mechanistic and reactivity similarity with the source Simvastatin ammonium, therefore, the aquatic toxicity of the target chemical Compactin is predicted of Aquatic Chronic 3; H412
