Classification justification according to CLP

Based on the data above, triallyl isocyanurate is considered not rapidly biodegradable. The acute aquatic toxicity L(E)C50 values are > 1 mg/L for fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae. Valid chronic toxicity data are available for algae with a NOEC > 1mg/L. Therefore, triallyl isocyanurate does not need to be classified as environmental hazard according to the Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP) and the Regulation (EU) No. 286/2011 (2ndATP).

 

Classification justification according to DSD

Based on the data above, triallyl isocyanurate is considered to have a low potential for bioaccumulation and is not rapidly degradable. The acute aquatic toxicity L(E)C50 values are > 100 mg/L for fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae. Therefore, triallyl isocyanurate does not need to be classified according to Directive 67/548/EEC.
