Additional information

The substance is regarded as readily biodegradable according to the results of > 60 % degradation in a CO2 evolution test (OECD 301B). This finding is further corroborated by the fact that the structural related substances erucamide and oleamide have consistently been shown to be readily biodegradable. Considering amides, C16-C18 (even numbered) as readily biodegradable, further simulation testing on sediment and soil is not required.
