Description of key information

The estimated KOH and hydroxyl radical t1/2 for amides, C12-18 (even numbered) and C18-unsatd., N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl), using AopWin v1.92 (EPIWEB v 4.0), was 5.46 x 10-11 cm3/molecule-sec and 0.58 days, respectively, for a 24 hour daylight period.

The degradation rate constant (KOH) and hydroxyl radical half-life (t1/2) for amides, C12-18 (even numbered) and C18-unsatd., N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl) was calculated using the AopWin v1.92 program of EPIWEB v 4.0, on a weighted-average basis using the mole fractions of the individual components.

The calculatedt1/2was based on a 24 hour daylight hydroxyl radical concentration of 1.5 × 106molecules (radicals)/cm3and hydroxyl rate constant of 5.46 x 10-11cm3/molecule-sec.

The estimated KOHand t1/2was 5.46 x 10-11cm3/molecule-sec and 0.58 days, respectively, for a 24 hour daylight period.
