Description of key information

The dynamic viscosity of farnesane was determined experimentally using method D7042 and the kinematic viscosity calculated using a relative density value of 0.7735. The Kinematic viscosity at 20°C was calculated to be 3.53 mm²/s. As viscosity decreases with temperature the viscosity at 40°C will be less than 3.53 mm²/s.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Viscosity:
3.53 mm²/s (static)
at the temperature of:
20 °C
