Description of key information

D-(-)-lactic acid is a common biological molecule, with low acute and no chronic toxicity, to which humans are continuoualy exposed, from diet, from bacterial generation in the gut, and from intramitochondrial (innate) processes. Therefore, it is fully justified to read across from L-(+)-lactic acid toxicity data for classification and labelling purposes and to fulfil REACH data requirements
