Remarks on result:
other: pH not noted

The determined final result for water solubility of the test substance is a maximum value. During the total analysis period of 3 days the maximum value of 27.9 µg/L was detected after 1 day. After this time the detected values for water solubility decreased again. The reason for this can be a thermal decomposition at the test temperature (20°C) after a certain period of time or possible hydrolysis of the test substance. No further information is available to determine the exact reason for the decrease of concentration.

The results of determined concentration of test substance at the different time points are presented in table I, average results per time point are graphically displayed in figure 1.

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): insoluble (< 0.1 mg/L)
The maximum water solubility of 1,1,4,4-tetramethylbutane-1,4-diyl bis(2-ethylperoxyhexanoate) is 27.9 µg/L at 20°C.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of 1,1,4,4-tetramethylbutane-1,4-diyl bis(2-ethylperoxyhexanoate)was determined based on OECD guideline 105. The data on water solubility represent the saturation mass concentration of the test substance in water.

The determined final result for water solubility of the test substance is a maximum value. After 1 day the maximum value of 27.9 µg/L was detected, after this time the detected values for water solubility decreased again. The reason for this can be a thermal decomposition at the test temperature (20°C) after a certain period of time or possible hydrolysis of the test substance. No further information is available to determine the exact reason for the decrease of concentration.

The maximum water solubility of 1,1,4,4-tetramethylbutane-1,4-diyl bis(2-ethylperoxyhexanoate) is 27.9 µg/L at 20°C.
