Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Test solutions

Vehicle:
no
Details on test solutions:
PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION
- Method: The test substance is poorly soluble in water. The test substance was added in the required amount to the test vessel with about 180 mL
deionized water. The mixture was stirred for 22±2 hours to optain an optimal solution. Then synthetic medium was added, the pH-value was adjusted to 7.5 ± 0.5, the inoculum was added and the aeration was started.

Test organisms

Test organisms (species):
activated sludge, domestic
Details on inoculum:
- Source and preparation of the inoculum: Activated sludge from the municipal wastewater treatment plant of the city Mannheim/Baden Württemberg (Germany). It was collected at 12 Oct 2005 from the aeration tank of the plant. The activated sludge suspension was washed with tap water, sieved with a fine woven mesh (mesh size about 1 mm). This suspension was adjusted to a concentration of 5.0 g/L dry weight and pre-aerated for 24 hours.
This suspension was added to the test vessels to obtain a sludge concentration of 1.0 g/L dry substance.
