An adsorption/desorption study is not required because bis(2-butoxyethyl) adipate mineralizes rapidly (Annex VIII point 9.3.1 column 2).
to the standard information requirements in Annex VIII point 9.3.1
column 2, an adsorption/desorption study is not required if the
substance and its relevant degradation products decompose rapidly.
Bis(2-butoxyethyl) adipate is estimated to be readily biodegradable and
hence to mineralise to CO2 and water in a standard MITI test (OECD test
guideline 301C) by the BIOWIN model. An adsorption/desorption study does
not have to be conducted for bis(2-butoxyethyl) adipate.
