Reliable short-term toxicity data for freshwater organisms are available for two trophic levels: aquatic invertebrates and algae. The lowest acute effect value was a 72-h EC50of 7.55 mg/L observed for the effect of the test item on growth rate of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitatus. Acute toxicity data are also available for invertebrates, with the lowest acute effect 48-h LC50value of 44.4 mg/L for Daphnia magna.

Reliable long-term toxicity data for freshwater organisms are available for one trophic level: algae. The lowest chronic effect value was a 72-h EC10of 3.22 mg/L observed for the effect of the test item on growth rate of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitatus.

The NOEC value for daphnia magna is 35.6 mg/L (48-h test) and NOEC value for Pseudokirchneriella subcapitatus is 1.27 mg/L (72-h test).
