Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
Additional information
No experimental studies are available investigating the toxicity of the
test substance to sediment organisms. Toxicity to sediment organisms is
not a standard requirement according to Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No.
1907/2006 and there is no indication from the Chemical Safety Assessment
according to Annex I on the need to investigate further the effects on
sediment organisms. Testing was not considered to be necessary since all
constituents of the substance are characterized by a low potential for
adsorption (log Koc < 3; log Pow: -1.43 to 2.5).
Moreover, environmental exposure from manufacturing and all uses at
industrial sites is considered to be negligible. There is no release to
the water compartment since manufacturing and all industrial uses are
dry processes and no wastewater is generated during the processes.
Moreover, a direct release to soil is not expected since the surfaces at
industrial settings are sealed preventing any release to soil. The
release to air is assumed to be 0 % since the substance is removed from
the exhaust stream by scrubbing and gas incineration during use. As a
consequence indirect exposure of the environmental compartments surface
water, sediment and soil via the atmospheric compartment is considered
to be negligible. This is confirmed by very low predicted environmental
concentrations (PEC).
Additionally, two uses by professional workers are reported. During use
the substance reacts to completion with a second reactant with expected
low release to the environment. After reaction the substance is no
longer present in the article and no release to the environmental
compartments is anticipated. A release to the air with subsequent
deposition to other environmental compartments during reaction is
expected to be low based on the low vapour pressure of the substance.
Assumed direct releases of 0 - 0.5 % to soil and 1 % to water reflect
the very low overall release to the substance. Consequently, the
predicted environmental concentrations (PEC) arising from these two uses
are very low. The calculated PECs were compared to the corresponding
PNEC values as part of the environmental risk assessment. All risk
characterization ratios (RCR) were clearly below 1 indicating no risk
for all environmental compartments (please refer to Chapter 9 and 10 of
the Chemical Safety Report for detailed information). Thus, further
toxicity studies with sediment organisms are not deemed necessary.
