Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

74 °C

Additional information

The tested substance has a typical composition, the only impurity in PDTN is moisture. Inorganic impurities are not possible due to the manufacturing process. In one study the melting point is 75°C. In the second study, the melting temperature of PDTN was determined to be 73 - 74°C (346 - 347 K). Probably because of some impurities the melting process started at a lower temperature of about 59°C (332 K). At temperatures above about 231°C (504 K) reaction or decomposition of the test substance was observed.

The measured melting points slightly differ. This can be explained by difference in purity.
