Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

The following results are obtained for the evaluation of the aquatic toxicity of the substance for fish, algae and aquatic invertebrates.

LC50 (Salmo Gairdneri,96h) > 22 mg/l (nominal)

EC50 (Daphnia magna, 48h) > 9.9 mg/l (mean measured)

NOEC (Pseudorkirchneriella subcapitata,72h) = 50 % saturated solution based on Growth Rate

EC50 (Pseudorkirchneriella subcapitata,72h)> 100 % of saturated solution or maximum water solubility based on Growth Rate

The lowest acute aquatic toxicity EC50 is set at 9.9 mg/l for classification purposes.

No adequate chronic aquatic toxicity data for all three trophic levels. For the algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata), the 72h-ErC10 on growth rate was greater than the 100% saturated solution based on nominal concentrations.

Therefore, the chronic classification is assessed using both the acute toxicity data and the chronic toxicity data and the most stringent outcome is selected.

The substance is not readily biodegradable based on biotic and abiotic experimental data. The substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation based on the LogKow which is lower than 3.

The substance is classified as Aquatic chronic 2/ H411 according to the CLP Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008.
