Description of key information

FAT 36156/D is a green-colored, odorless powder at room temperature.

The melting point is determined to be 204 °C according to OECD test guideline 102. In this study, thermic decomposition was observed at about 240 °C and subsequently no boiling point could be detected until 350 °C.

The average relative density of the test item was found to be 1.4446 g/cm³ at 20 °C, with a median particle size of 7.501 μm.

The vapor pressure has been calculated to be less than 2.2E-11 Pa at 25°C.

The partition coefficient n-octanol/water of FAT 36156/D at 20 °C was determined to: log Pow = 3.11 and Pow = 1290.

The water solubility at 20 °C was determined to 0.20 mg/l.

The surface tension was determined to be 75.314 mN/m at 20 °C. The variation of specification factor was 0.005657 mN/m. Because FAT 36156/D underwent thermic decomposition during melting point study, flash point determination was considered to be technically not feasible.

The auto-ignition temperature of the test item was determined to be 330 °C.

The test substance is considered to be highly flammable, when tested according to EU method A.10.

The analysis of the chemical structures of the test substance reveals no alerts for explosive properties. The substance is considered to be non-explosive and no further testing is required.

The determination of oxidising properties of FAT 36156/D was considered to be scientifically not necessary as it has been found to be flammable.
