Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice: Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance. Move out of dangerous area.
Inhalation: If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Skin contact: After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water.
Eye contact: In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
Ingestion: When swallowed, allow water to be drunk. Call a physician immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
- Suitable extinguishing media: water spray, foam, carbon dioxide (CO2), dry powder
- Extinguishing media which shall not be used for safety reasons: high volume water jet
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
- The product itself does not burn.
Advice for firefighters
- Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
- Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
- Wear personal protective equipment. Unprotected persons must be kept away. Avoid dust formation.
Environmental precautions
- Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
- Use mechanical handling equipment.
- Pick for disposal in tightly closed containers
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
- Advice on safe handling: Exhaust ventilation at the object is necessary. Wear personal protective equipment.
- Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Normal measures for preventive fire protection. The product itself does not burn.
- Hygiene measures: Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. Separate rooms are required for washing, showering and changing clothes. Keep working clothes separately.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
- Further information on storage conditions: Store in original container. Do not leave vessels/containers open Avoid product residues in/on containers
